The minister charged with navigating the complex relationship between Māori and the Crown, Kelvin Davis, says the focus right now is on mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth.
On a Newshub Nation special on Saturday morning, Davis said there will be a time when "we have a conversation" on what the Queen's death means for Māori and the Crown.
"Right now we just need to focus on mourning the Queen and acknowledging her 70 years of service," Davis said.
"We should at least wait until after the funeral service."
