Former COVID-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins owes a simple apology for last year's Northland lockdown blunder, Ryan Bridge says.
Details were revealed on Wednesday about the trio of women who travelled to Northland during last year's COVID-19 lockdown.
At the time, the Government said their documents were forged but, in fact, they were granted an exemption "in error".
That mistake led to an 11-day, $23 million lockdown for Northland and the women were publicly scrutinised.
But Hipkins was standing by the decision and on Wednesday refused to apologise.
AM show host Bridge, a former political reporter, believed the women were owed an apology after the Government failed to publicly correct the record.
