Prime Minister Chris Hipkins and Emergency Management Minister Kieran McAnulty are holding a standup after travelling to Auckland following the devastating floods.
Hipkins and McAnulty are here to meet emergency staff on the ground, assess the damage caused by last night's deluge and understand the support that's required.
The pair will be accompanied by senior national emergency management staff, Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown and Deputy Mayor of Auckland Desley Simpson.
