Prime Minister Chris Hipkins had to change his Waitangi travel plans after his plane couldn't land at a nearby airport due to fog.
On Thursday night, a spokesperson for the Prime Minister told Newshub the plane wasn't able to land at Kerikeri Airport because of bad weather.
"The plane had two attempts but we weren't able to land because of the fog," the spokesperson said.
"We are just driving up [to Waitangi] now."
