Freedoms NZ supporters have been protesting outside the Aotea Centre where Labour is holding its campaign launch.
About 50 supporters were standing on the front steps to the centre holding placards and chanting, "no more Labour pains".
Multiple police officers and security guards were standing between them and the doors.
Members of the public attending the launch as well as Labour MPs arriving were having to walk around the protesters.
At about midday, a contingent of Labour supporters and MPs turned up at Aotea Square and walked through the crowd of protesters into the centre.
Inside, Labour supporters were also holding up their own signs.
It's not the first time Freedoms NZ supporters have disrupted political events this month.
Labour leader Chris Hipkins had a walkabout in Ōtara interrupted, while a sole Freedoms NZ candidate heckled a press conference this week held by National's Christopher Luxon.
