A political commentator believes coalition talks may have surpassed their major hurdles as a month since election day nears.
Joining Newshub Nation's political panel, PR consultant Janet Wilson pointed to the fact ACT leader David Seymour and NZ First leader Winston Peters have met twice, although just briefly.
"The friendliness that we've seen been demonstrated between Seymour and Winston indicates to me if they can agree then we're over major hurdles," Wilson said.
She added once the detail of coalition talks is waded through things move "exponentially" and go "faster".
