Political leaders will be making their first big speeches in Parliament after 2pm.
Following the Governor-General's Speech from the Throne, party leaders will be allowed to reply. There will also be the first maiden speeches from the Parliament's new MPs.
National MPs James Meager and Katie Nimon are expected to kick it off.
