A further allegation of shoplifting at Auckland's Scotties boutique store against high-profile Green Party MP Golriz Ghahraman has emerged.
On Wednesday, it was revealed Greens justice spokesperson Ghahraman was standing aside from her portfolios after allegations emerged she had shoplifted from Scotties in the Auckland suburb of Ponsonby on December 23.
But Ghahraman is also accused of shoplifting from the same store weeks before the December 23 incident, Newstalk ZB Plus reported on Friday.
The Green MP has not yet responded to any of the allegations. The Greens have been approached for a response to the latest accusation.
On Thursday, the Greens confirmed Ghahraman was overseas on a "personal trip", while a Wednesday statement from the party said it was aware of allegations and "is in contact with Scotties Boutique to better understand and address the situation".
Scotties has previously declined to comment to Newshub.
Police have provided few details, other than confirming "a report was received about an incident at a Ponsonby retailer" on December 23.
"Initial enquiries are still being made into this report and police are not able to comment further at this stage," a spokesperson said on Thursday.
