Green MP Efeso Collins has died after collapsing while participating in a charity run in downtown Auckland on Wednesday morning.
Collins was taking part in ChildFund Water Run to raise funds to support local communities in the Pacific at 9am in Auckland's Britomart when he collapsed.
The charity had several high-profile people competing in it, including presenter Hilary Barry, community leader Dave Letele and The Hits host Matty McLean.
Collins unsuccessfully ran for Auckland Mayor in 2022 and was announced last year as a Green Party MP.
