The south Auckland office of Labour MP Jenny Salesa has been targeted overnight, resulting in multiple windows being smashed.
Police said officers were called to the Fulton Cres in Ōtara at about 12:30am.
A man was located and arrested nearby a short time later with the assistance of a police dog unit.
Police said the 47-year-old man was charged with wilful damage and was due in the Manukau District Court next week.
