Protesters have gathered in their thousands in Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland on Saturday to demonstrate against some Government policies.
Other protests have been organised for other centres, including Whakatāne, Ōtautahi/Christchurch, Tākaka, and others.
Simultaneous protests are happening in opposition to the Government's Fast-Track Approvals Bill, and public service cuts.
Auckland's March For Nature is underway, with protesters gathering at Aotea Square for a march down Queen St.
Organisers said the protests were organised in response to the coalition's "general war on nature".
Auckland Transport said earlier there will be road closures between 12pm to 4pm, including detours for buses.
And in the capital, the People Over Profits march is to oppose the public sector job losses and service cuts.
Police advised anyone travelling in the affected areas to allow extra time for their journey.
