England captain Sarah Hunter is contesting her fourth Rugby World Cup and led the 'Red Roses' to the 2014 crown in France.
"I started playing rugby at primary school, at the age of nine," she said. "One autumn October out on our school playing field, I got given this funny-shaped ball and absolutely love it, and haven't looked back since."
England enter the 2021 tournament - delayed 12 months by COVID-19 - as raging hot favourites, riding a 25-test winning streak that dates back to 2019, when they last lost to the Black Ferns in California.
"Our goal is to go out and win it on November 12," said Hunter, 37. "We're under no illusion it's going to be a very, very tough challenge to do that, but we'll do our very best to get there."
