National Party leader Christopher Luxon has nailed his colours to the mast over where his loyalties lie on Saturday night, picking the Black Ferns over the All Blacks.
Due to a scheduling clash, the Black Ferns and All Blacks will take the field at the same time on Saturday night, leaving Kiwi viewers with an unenviable choice.
In the Rugby World Cup, hosts New Zealand face Wales in their quarter-final at Whangārei, kicking off at 7:30pm.
However, that kickoff comes 40 minutes after the All Blacks begin their northern tour, facing Japan at Tokyo from 6:50pm.
Aside from the 19,000-odd fans lucky enough to attend NZ v Wales at Northland Events Centre, New Zealanders' loyalties will be tested, but one person who won't have to make a decision is Luxon - he's already made it.
"I've really loved watching the Black Ferns," Luxon told AM. "I was at the opening game, I plan to be at the semis, I plan to be at the final as well.
"I think they're an incredible bunch of women. They're great athletes and great ambassadors for New Zealand."
The Black Ferns themselves have made no bones about where fans should focus on Saturday night.
"If you're turning up to the game, you can only watch the Black Ferns," said flanker Sarah Hirini. "Watch the All Blacks replay later."
"It's a silly question, isn't it?" added halfback Kendra Cocksedge.
"At the end of the day, we're playing some really good footy. We've attracted an awesome crowd across the country and across the world.
"We're hoping everyone gets in and supports us, and we ask that from New Zealand and the world, there's been some good footy on display.
"Back us and, as Gossy [Hirini] said, watch the All Blacks on replay."
