Probably no other nation in the world is as passionate about rugby as Wales - and that extends to its women's team at the Rugby World Cup.
"There's no feeling like it," said skipper Siwan Lillicrap. "It's literally the best feeling in the world.
"I love rugby, I love women's rugby and I love Wales. I'm a really proud Welshwoman and I never take for granted that opportunity I get, especially captaining the squad.
"It's a huge honour and privilege I will always hold close to my heart."
The Welsh are contesting the same pool as hosts New Zealand, snatching a last-gasp victory over Scotland in their tournament opener and giving the champion Black Ferns everything they could handle among the forwards in defeat.
"We're targeting the quarter-finals and hoping we can win, but I wouldn't write this team off completely from going all the way," said Lillicrap.
