Kia ora, good morning and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the Rugby World Cup quarter-final between hosts France and defending champions South Africa.
With one tournament semi-final already set between New Zealand and Argentina, it's time to find the other match-up. England were due to meet Fiji early Monday morning (NZ time), followed by this classic encounter between second and third-ranked teams in the world.
France will be bolstered by the return of captain and talisman Antoine Dupont, while South Africa have sprung a minor surprise by NOT stacking their bench with forwards, settling for a more traditional 5-3 split.
Of course, the home side will have the crowd on their side, but like the All Blacks, the Springboks are clinical in these knockout situations.
It's worth noting the four quarter-finals loomed as classic north v south showdowns, with the first two going the way of the southern hemisphere teams. Can England and France turn that trend around?
Join us at 8am Monday for kickoff.
