Fiji midfielder Josua Tuisova will remain with his side at the Rugby World Cup in France, despite the reported death of his seven-year-old son in his homeland.
With Fiji's quarter-final hopes hinging on the result of their final pool match against Portugal in Toulouse on Monday, the 29-year-old will remain to help his teammates push for a spot in the knockout stages, Fiji Village reported.
Tuisova's son is reported to have died at the age of seven, hours before his father played in Fiji's vital 17-12 victory over Georgia on Sunday (NZ time).
The funeral for Tuisova's son will be held in Votua, Ba on Tuesday.
So far at this World Cup, Tuisova has scored twice and made 18 tackles, as Fiji close in on a quarter-final spot at the expense of Australia.
The Pacific side need just one point against Portugal - who themselves have just two points after drawing with Georgia - to progress to the last eight.
