New Zealand farm cats featured in a photo competition last year are to get international exposure, with a Japanese documentary being planned.
The felines were showcased for their contribution to the runnings of New Zealand farms in the Federated Farmers' competition.

Farmers were asked to send in their hilarious and cute pics of their pets.
Photos sent in show the felines snuggled up with calves and dogs, as well as lending a helping hand on the farm, inspecting the stock, rounding up sheep and helping out in the dairy shed.
The winner was Rebecca Sullivan, from Fairlie, and her photo of Simon the cat helping with the sheep.
Federated Farmers has now been approached by Japan's public broadcaster which wants to track down some of the entrants for a documentary.
Federated Farmers said it was looking forward to seeing what the documentary crew produce and and how New Zealand farm cats get portrayed.
