The Prime Minister has made special mention of the rural community as the Government moves to tighten gun laws after the Christchurch terror attack.
Jacinda Ardern said Cabinet was "absolutely unified" around reforming New Zealand's gun laws - and these decisions will be unveiled within 10 days.

She said a number of new Zealanders question the necessity of military-style semi-automatic weapons, and the time to act is now.
However, she acknowledged responsible gun owners, and the rural community.
"I know that this might for a short period create a small degree of uncertainty amongst some gun owners, including those who possess guns for legitimate reasons, and I particularly acknowledge those in our rural communities," Ardern told media.
"I want to assure you that the work that we are doing is not directed at you," she said.
"In fact, I strongly believe that the vast majority of gun owners in New Zealand will agree with the sentiment that change needs to occur."
She reminded gun owners that they are able to surrender guns to police at any time.
"I have seen reports that people are, in fact, already doing this. I applaud that effort, and if you're thinking about surrendering your weapon, I would encourage you to do so."
