A Welsh dairy farmer has used a novel way of proposing to his girlfriend, painting the question on the side of one of his cows.
Sion Thomas and girlfriend Alice Green live at Drysgol Goch farm, Llanfyrnach.
Instead of proposing to her in the traditional way, the young farmer painted the message 'Alice: marry me?' on to the side of a white cow in temporary green paint.
The 24-year-old told the Western Telegraph he was keen to come up with something unique.
"I wanted to take Alice to buy a ring so I thought I would do something a bit different to become engaged," he said.
After spraypainting the message, he walked shorthorn cow past the kitchen window where Alice, also 24, was baking.
"She was pretty shocked."
The unusual proposal was a success, and the couple are planning to get married in September 2020.
