A man has been seriously injured in a farming accident near Taumarunui.
Police said they were notified by the ambulance service of the incident involving a tractor at Taringamotu, north of Taumarunui, just after 10am on Tuesday morning.

They said a man was taken to Taumarunui Hospital with serious injuries.
It's understood he was then flown to Waikato Hospital by helicopter where he remains in a critical condition.
