Worksafe is investigating a fatality at a farm near Gisborne, the latest in a spate of farm accidents.
In a statement it said the incident happened on Friday at a property in Te Karaka.
The death comes after a horror start to 2020 for farming accidents, with six people killed in workplace incidents on New Zealand farms in six days.
The deaths included two fatal quad bike crashes, a fatal accident involving a tractor and another with a side-by-side farm vehicle.
No further details have been released about the Te Karaka incident.
"As the matter is under investigation we are unable to provide any further detail," Worksafe said.
