One person has died after a workplace accident in Ranana, near Whanganui.
Police initially said it was understood the person had been injured in the accident but later confirmed the victim had died.
A police spokesperson said the incident occurred at around 9:30am in Ranana, with the serious crash unit arriving at the property around 10:45am.
St John said two ambulances and a helicopter were sent to the scene.
WorkSafe has been notified.
