With term deposit rates so low, there could soon be more investment moving from the city to the rural property market, says Conrad Wilkshire, Property Brokers' general manager of rural.
Wilkshire spoke to Rural Today to give an update on the rural property market.
"What we would expect to see more of is the city investment coming into farming," he said.
"And the reason for that is these term deposit rates are dire, in terms of being able to make a living off, and equally even the commercial yields and the pressure on those yields makes our farming businesses look very favourable."
