Judy Bailey has made a surprise return to television this morning, filling in for anchor Hilary Barry on TV3's Paul Henry programme.
Bailey, a former long-time anchor for One News, will be reading the news for the next two days while Hilary takes a well-deserved holiday.
#JudyBailey has been trending number one on Twitter in New Zealand today, with fans of the popular news reader declaring their excitement to see her back on television.
Many have described her as "broadcasting royalty".
