Unless you go to the mosque, you might not know much about New Zealand's Muslim community.
Who are they? What are their aspirations? What do they think the rest of us think of them?
There are almost 50,000 Muslims now living New Zealand – a number that has doubled since 2001.
Walk down the street, especially in Auckland, and it's likely you will come across a Muslim person.
Muslim women in particular are more visible by virtue of how they dress. But how many of us have ever actually stopped and spoken to them?
That was our aim, and luckily the Ponsonby mosque was having an open day.
