We are not as clean and green as we say we are. In fact, we're anything but.
A quick look along our beaches and coastlines shows rubbish is everywhere, and our roads are no different.
That doesn't make it right and, in fact, it makes many people angry.
The clean-up is NZTA's responsibility, and NZTA Bay of Plenty highways manager Niclas Johansson says patrols will be getting more vigilant with litter.
