Housing, both buying and renting, is a problem in Auckland. It's well-documented, and it's always in the news.
One property developer says he decided to do his bit and rent one of his houses to a family before he developed it. He figured he'd offer cheaper rent for the shorter stay.
But when it came time for the family to move out, they refused.
It's a classic he-said, she-said over a house. The tenant has just been kicked out, but only after a joint visit from the landlord, a bailiff and the police.
