September 11, 2001 is one of those times and 14 years on from the attacks, it's particularly fresh in the minds of New Yorkers.
A Sky City stair climb is being held in memory of all those firefighters who lost their lives that day, and 106 firefighters will be walking up the Sky Tower.
One of those is New York Fire Department Battalion Chief Steven San Filippo, and he joined Paul Henry in studio this morning.
