But there is one industry that just won't settle down and is growing faster than pretty much any other industry in New Zealand. You probably would not have guessed, but it is tattooing.
Getting a needle and injecting ink into your skin was traditionally a favourite past time for Polynesian cultures, sailors and women of the night. But it seems everywhere you look, everybody has one.
Tattooing is taking off in a big way and there are more than 100 tattoo parlours in New Zealand now.
