Parents in Italy have lost the custody of their 14-month-old, after it was hospitalised from being malnourished and underweight.
The child also had a heart condition.
Four other children have been hospitalised in the last 18 months, and a malnourished toddler spent several days in intensive care in a Genoa hospital last month.
