Senior Psychiatrist Dr Robert Llewellyn-Jones works with survivors of childhood abuse.
Based in Sydney, Dr Llewellyn-Jones was himself abused in the early 1970s when he was student at a prestigious Sydney school.
He has given evidence to the Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sex Abuse, and he spoke to Newshub Nation about how he uses his personal experience and expertise to help other survivors.
He told Newshub Nation that the first thing he would say to other survivors is: "You are not alone and it is not your fault."
