Next week veteran national MP Chris Finlayson will give his valedictorian speech in parliament reflecting on his time in politics.
He served as Attorney General and treaty negotiations minister where National settled 60 treaty claims over nine years.

He faced major backlash over the crown's decision to accept manslaughter pleas from Moko's killers.
Now in opposition, Chris Finlayson has decided to return to his career in law.
He spoke to Duncan Garner.
