Māori mental health advocates are calling for the psychiatric system to change the way it treats Māori patients.
This comes as Māori continue to be over-represented in our mental health system.
Since 2001, the rates of Māori using mental health services has risen by 72 percent - more than double the rate for non-Māori.
Mental Health Awareness Week begins Monday. The Hui spoke to advocate and educator Paul Whatuira and the Mental Health Foundation's Michael Naera.
