The Green Party has added voting at 16 to the Green Party priorities for electoral reform set out in Golriz Ghahraman’s Strengthening Democracy Bill.
It comes just after a group of young people challenged the Government to lower the voting age as part of the the Make It 16 campaign.
That is a part of a global movement, heavily motivated by climate change, of young people urging politicians to listen to their viewpoints.
