The Mt Albert community are up in arms as 345 'exotic' trees are set to get the chop today.
150 people came together yesterday for a funeral procession, concerned about the "environmental destruction" caused by giving the long-established trees the chop.
Some are calling the trees 'pests', others claim they are the homes to entire ecosystems.
