The Director-General of Health has apologised for accepting tickets to a Black Caps game over the weekend.
It turns out Dr Bloomfield was lobbied for access to the Covid-19 vaccine while at the match and has said he should have refused the tickets.
"I was incorrect," Bloomfield said in a statement on Thursday. "I am in the role of the Director-General of Health every day. I recognise that the invitation was extended to me because I am in that position."
Do you think it's OK for Dr Ashley Bloomfield to accept free cricket tickets?
