Shaun Johnson will be the cover star for Big Ant Studios and Tru Blu Entertainment's Rugby League Live 3 in New Zealand.
Johnson follows in the footsteps of the likes of former Warriors captain Steve Price and Benji Marshall, who appeared on the covers of the first and second games in the series respectively.
"2014 Four Nation's Golden Boot winner Shaun Johnson leads the console team as Rugby League Live debuts on next-gen consoles and returns on current-gen," Tru Blu Entertainment told NZGamer.com.
"With a host of new features, game modes and upgrades, Rugby League Live 3 is the ultimate game of the ultimate sport, and is coming soon to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360."
Tru Blu Entertainment released a teaser trailer last week in anticipation of the State of Origin decider in Brisbane.
Rugby League Live 3 was announced last year. It hopes to feature improvements to career mode, online play, tackling and instant replays, as well as updated kits, rule changes, day/night and weather systems.
While it has been delayed from its July release date, Big Ant Studios say the game should be released in August for Playstation 4, Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, with more information on the PC release coming soon.
