A British comedian gate crashed FIFA President Sepp Blatter's media conference in Zurich today, showering the 79-year old with fake paper money before he was carted away by police.

Prankster Simon Brodkin - whose stage name is Lee Nelson - said "this is for North Korea 2026" before throwing banknotes over Blatter.

Brodkin has made his name performing numerous pranks under different alter-ego guises.

He has previously crashed Stereo Kicks' X-Factor performance, attempted to join the England World Cup squad on their flight to Brazil and recently joined rapper Kanye West on stage at Glastonbury.

Blatter left the room briefly, but returned to reveal details of a special congress for all 209 member associations who'll be invited to vote for a new president on February 26th.

Former French international and UEFA president Michel Platini has emerged as the early frontrunner ahead of Jordan's Prince Ali bin Al Hussein.
