All Blacks star Dan Carter's not buying into the hype around Saturday night's Bledisloe Cup blockbuster at Eden Park, the French-bound first five-eighth's last game in New Zealand against the Wallabies
It's the same for a number of Carter's teammates including the record-breaking Richie McCaw, playing his 142nd Test, as well as Ma'a Nonu, Conrad Smith and Tony Woodcock.
Carter is set to equal a record himself; the game will be his 88th Test start, equalling the record set by Welsh first five Stephen Jones.
He was unaware of the milestone when asked about it at a signing session in central Auckland.
Carter was not at his best against the Wallabies in Sydney last week and says he's critiqued his performance, as he always does.
The 33-year-old is looking forward to the rematch, saying there has been an edge in training this week as the All Blacks try to round out the domestic season in style.
Carter will go head-to-head with the controversial Quade Cooper. It's a match up that adds extra spice in a contest that already has plenty.
