'Australia' wins Rippa Rugby World Cup

As World Cup fever kicks into gear in the UK, it's starting to heat up back home too.

More than 200 kids from schools from all over New Zealand have taken part in the Rippa Rugby World Cup, and if you believe in good or bad omens, you might not want to know the winner – Australia, which is not a sight Kiwis want to see in two months' time.

The team – represented in the competition by Roscommon School -came out on top, beating off the challenge of a passionate USA side in the final.

In 2011 New Zealand won the Rippa World Cup and the All Blacks won the World Cup.
