Former All Black Xavier Rush looking forward to Welsh Tests

As the All Blacks prepare to take on Georgia in Wales this week, former All Black Xavier Rush knows all about life in the Welsh capital.

He played for and coached the Cardiff Blues and has lived in the city for the past 10 years, with his Welsh son now three-and-a-half years old.

Now 38, Rush played eight Tests for the All Blacks and captained the Blues to a Super Rugby title in 2003.

This week he is looking forward to the double-header at the Millennium Stadium – the All Blacks take on Georgia after Wales and Fiji go head-to-head.

"I'm not sitting here confident [the Fijians] will have it all their own way," Rush says. "It's a dangerous game for them."

He is far more confident about the All Blacks.

"They've just got to be patient. Wait for opportunities as All Blacks do, and be clinical when they come."
