After 19 days in the United Kingdom, the All Blacks finally have a day off and it's great to see they're making the most of it.
All Blacks teams of the past have either relaxed too much, just think the French island holiday before the 2007 Rugby World Cup, or have been locked up in their rooms like naughty little children.
It's awesome that coach Steve Hansen can trust his players to look after themselves, and it was cool seeing some All Blacks enjoying a couple of beers last night before heading home to their hotel nice and early.
If you confine grown men to their hotel rooms for eight days in Cardiff, they'll go stir crazy and do naughty things like sneak out and get into trouble, just think of the Dagg and Jane situation in Takapuna in 2011.
Today, captain Richie McCaw, Waisake Naholo, Sam Whitelock, and Kieran Read decided to go out and do some clay bird shotgun shooting.
It's fair to say Naholo is a lethal weapon himself, and I can't wait to see him run out for his first game of the tournament against Georgia on Saturday morning (NZT).
Injured flanker Liam Messam's decided to hit the golf course at Celtic Manor, home of the 2010 Ryder Cup, which also happens to be the base of their Pool C opponents for this week.
We'll give Messam the benefit of the doubt for his average golf swing because of his injured calf, while there's absolutely no excuse for posing with a member of boyband One Direction while they were in London.
There's never really a full day off though for the All Blacks who will all be doing weight and gym sessions today. But during such a long tournament it's great to see the squad enjoying themselves and not getting bogged down in the claustrophobic, pressure-cooker environment of a World Cup.
