In 2015, I had the pleasure of interviewing Serena Williams before the Australian Open. I gave her a hug after the interview and Williams went on to win the slam for the first time in four years.
Williams went on to win three of the four grand slams, the final US Open eluding her grasp.
This time around the topic was brought up again, and wanting good luck, the world no.1 was all for a hug, this time with a few selfie shots included for extra good fortune.
