After a win and a loss in warm-up games for the World T20, the Black Caps are still coming to terms with the conditions in India.

Spin is expected to play a major part at the tournament with New Zealand stymied by tweakers Adil Rashid (3-15) and Moeen Ali (1-30) in their warm-up game against England.

But veteran bowler Nathan McCullum reckons spin won't be the only factor and that the team got a lot out of their warm-up games.

"There will probably be two or three spinners in most teams so it will play a major part but it won't be the only factor. I think all teams have got very powerful batting line-ups and some good pace bowlers as well," McCullum said.

"The conditions are going to vary throughout the tournament depending on where we go but it was really good to get here and get in the heat and get ourselves accustomed to conditions again."

The Black Caps open their campaign against hosts India on Wednesday morning, a contest McCullum said the team were ready for.

"Any time you come and play India in India it's a pretty awesome atmosphere and it's electric and I think the boys are well up for it and really excited about the opportunity start and open the tournament."

The Black Caps will face three sub-continent teams in their group at the World T20 in India after Bangladesh qualified for the Super 10 with a big win over Oman this morning.

The group also features Australia.
