Warriors coach Andrew McFadden has admitted to Newshub that a week into the NRL, his side still haven't come together.

But said the poor start against the Tigers has nothing to do with what former Kiwi's coach Graham Lowe has described as a 'bro culture' which has made the team soft.

Warriors protocols meant skipper Ryan Hoffman was off limits to New Zealand media wanting any answers to what went wrong during Saturday's season opener against the Tigers.

Since we couldn't hassle the Hoff, that meant more heat on under-pressure coach McFadden.

A second half comeback saved total embarrassment, but after being humbled by the side tipped to claim the wooden spoon, the Warriors' chances in their next two matches against the Broncos and Storm aren't looking flash.

Being part of the dire defensive effort in the first half against the Tigers was extra painful for Warriors newcomer, centre Blake Ayshford.

The barbs have continued with outspoken former Kiwi's coach Lowe telling an Australian newspaper that a 'bro culture' was to blame for the side's woes.

Bodene Thompson will start Friday night in Brisbane, replacing the injured Ben Henry.
