Sam Cane has been cited for alleged foul play in the Chiefs 30-26 win over the Jaguares in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Cane is alleged to have made a dangerous tackle on Jaguares' prop Nahuel Chaparro at the breakdown.
Chaparro stayed down and was treated by medial staff on the field before he was carted off.
Cane avoided any punishment at the time of the incident.
Upon further review of the match footage, the citing commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the red card threshold for foul play.
