The All Whites have opened their OFC Nations Cup campaign with a 3-1 win over Fiji in Papua New Guinea.
The All Whites grabbed the lead 12 minutes in when Themi Tzimopoulos finished after a goal-mouth scramble from a long throw.
After the game opened up in the first half, New Zealand doubled their lead in the 40th minute when a deflected clearance went in off Rory Fallon.
Fiji pulled a goal back before halftime when Sam Brotherton gave away a penalty, which Roy Krishna dispatched.
Captain Chris Wood wrapped up the win in the second half with a penalty.
The All Whites will face Vanuatu and Solomon Islands in their remaining group stages games.
