Danny Lee's concentration eventually wavered in the fierce winds for the first round of the Scottish golf Open in Inverness.
He was tied for the lead until a wayward tee shot at the 18th hole lead to a double bogey, as the New Zealand number one slipped to 1-under-par, and two shots off the pace.
Lee's in Scotland after the cancellation of the Greenbrier Classic in flood-stricken West Virginia, which cost him a chance of defending his PGA Tour title there.
But he's philosophical about the late blot on his scorecard.
"After I hit a shot it was so freaking windy, I didn't know where it went.
I almost lost my mind out there.
It's not a bad start, if I didn't make the double.
I still made quite a few birdies".
