Paramatta NRL star Semi Radradra has been detained by police on his return to Australia.
Police have confirmed a 24-year-old man was taken from Sydney airport to a police station, over domestic violence matters.
The winger is accused of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend on multiple occasions but has been named to play for the Eels against the Sharks on Saturday.
Former NRL and NFL star Jarryd Hayne has spent some time with Radradra in the last week and is confident that the barnstorming winger will remain at the Eels despite reports that he has committed to French rugby.
"He'll definitely stay Parramatta," he said.
"I spoke to him and from all accounts he's come back here to play on the weekend.:
Eels coach Brad Arthur will play Radradra against the Sharks on Saturday despite the one training session.
"The players and the coaching staff are glad to see him back," Arthur said.
"We look forward to seeing him at training tomorrow and putting in a strong performance for us on Saturday night."
