The All Blacks have named their squad to face the Wallabies in the opening Rugby Championship and Bledisloe Cup encounter of 2016.
Beuden Barrett will start at first-five off the back of some world class performances during the Super Rugby playoffs.
"In the end, it was pretty easy. Beauden's performances over the last month have been outstanding," said All Blacks coach Steve Hansen.
Barrett saw things differently and was surprised with being named the starter.
"I wasn't expecting it - I'm used to coming off the bench for this team and that has been my role in the past. I have a different role this week which I am excited about."
The 25-year-old has put his success down to getting in a good head space along with working on his flexibility in the form of Pilates.
The game kicks off just after 8pm this Saturday (NZT).
The Wallabies won the fixture last year at ANZ stadium in front of 75,000 people.
Halfback Nic White scored a late try as home side won 27-19.
